Christmas Plaid Packages

 Designer Prints™ decorations from Lucks, easily add so much more to gum paste or fondant bows in your decorations.

Tip: It’s a good idea to practice your bow making technique with plain gum paste or fondant until you have that part perfected.  Click

Shown here, two 4” square cakes and an 8”x6”x4” square tiered cake.

1. Prepare your Designer Prints™  decorations ahead of time by trimming away the white edges. For best results, use a Ribbon Insertion Tool (
Item #43381) with the pointed blade or an Exacto type razor knife.

2. Ice cakes and apply Christmas Plaid Variety Pack Designer Prints™ design (
Item #43822) as shown.

3. Add the bows you made earlier to your small cakes and finish the top of the tiered cake with Fancy Red Poinsettia Gum Paste Flowers (
Item #43489).

4. Pipe a plain white shell border using a #8 plain round tube (
Item #12756) around the bottoms of each tier and us a #4 plain round tube (Item #12752) for the top of the tiered cake layers as shown.
